OVER DECADES.
What began with deep roots in skateboarding has grown into a Canadian distribution company representing brands across skate, streetwear, footwear and lifestyle.
Through four decades of change in retail, brands and the way people buy, one thing has remained constant: we understand the markets we serve because we've spent our careers in them.
Our team brings together decades of experience in skateboarding, retail, brand building, sales, distribution, operations and e-commerce.
We don't see distribution as simply moving product from a warehouse to a store. Our role is to build sustainable markets for the brands we represent and make it easier for Canadian retailers to do business with them.
BUILT INTO EVERY PARTNERSHIP.
ARCHIVAL CANADIAN SKATE / RETAIL / TEAM
Ultimate's history stretches back to a very different Canadian skate market.
Members of our team have been involved in the culture from multiple sides of the business, including skate shops, brands, sales, distribution and the growth of skateboarding itself in Canada.
That experience gives us an understanding that can't be built from sales reports alone. We understand independent retailers because we've worked alongside them for decades. We understand brands because members of our team have built and operated them.
Today, that experience is combined with modern systems, e-commerce and data to give our partners established industry knowledge backed by contemporary distribution infrastructure.
Canada is a significant market, but succeeding here requires more than appointing a distributor and shipping inventory north.
Ultimate gives international and domestic brands an established Canadian platform without requiring them to build one from scratch.
We work to understand how each brand should be positioned rather than forcing every brand through the same distribution model. For established global names, that may mean strengthening availability and expanding Canadian distribution. For emerging brands, it can mean building the market account by account while protecting the identity that made the brand interesting in the first place.
The objective isn't simply wider distribution. It's the right distribution.
Independent shops have always been an important part of Ultimate Distribution.
We know retailers need more from a distributor than a catalogue and an invoice. They need reliable inventory, knowledgeable people, sensible buying opportunities and quick access to information.
Our team works directly with accounts across Canada, while our online B2B platform gives approved retailers convenient access to products, inventory and ordering.
Whether it's a seasonal prebook, an at-once reorder or help building an assortment, our goal is to make working with Ultimate straightforward.
WAREHOUSE / OPERATIONS / TEAM
INDEPENDENT ROOTS.
From our Delta, British Columbia headquarters, we support retailers across Canada through independent sales representation, in-house sales, B2B e-commerce and national fulfillment.
Our network extends beyond Canada through decades of relationships with brands, retailers, distributors and industry partners across North America and internationally.
That combination gives our brand partners national infrastructure without losing the market knowledge and personal relationships of an independent distributor.
A BROADER DISTRIBUTION BUSINESS.
The distribution business continues to change. Retailers expect better access to inventory and information. Brands expect more visibility into their markets. E-commerce has blurred the lines between wholesale, retail and direct-to-consumer.
Ultimate continues to invest in technology, e-commerce, data and operations while holding onto the part of the business technology can't replace: relationships, product knowledge and an understanding of the culture surrounding the brands we represent.
We're still building.
